Live Blowjob Tonight at 8pm

Sexy Piper getting read for her live cam blowjob

Well, it’s a last minute, day-of kind of decision, but after a lot of futzing around, we thought that there’s no time like the present to try a beta test with the live software we’ve installed on The Art of Blowjob. We have been hinting at it a lot, and we wanted to wait until we had the right person, the right set of circumstances and the right technological set-up to make it all look right.

That said, it’s still a beta test for now and we’re working out some kinks along the way. For instance, the models that you see on the main page are place holders for now. We’re developing that slowly but surely. This is to see if the video itself looks good and if everything works and is exciting!

Tonight, at 8pm EST, you’ll be meeting a lovely new model named Piper. She’s a sexy dirty blonde/pale brunette with lovely curves, a cute behind and a love for giving sweet, sensual blowjobs. She has a real natural ability at making love both on and to the camera, so she’s the perfect fit for our first ever live blowjob video.

If all goes, well, we’ll do another beta test soon enough, but if you can clear your schedule tonight to enjoy Piper’s gorgeous blowjob techniques as close to in person as you can get. This is a new frontier for us to explore as purveyors of beautiful oral sex porn, and we hope it’s well received. Who knows? Maybe some time we’ll try out some cunnilingus, too!

To recap: Tonight! 8pm EST! Live blowjob!

Soft Launch: The Art of Cunnilingus

Jemma Valentine gets cunnilingus in the kitchen

It’s finally happening! The Art of Cunnilingus is a thing! This has been in the works for so long. People have asked for it for years, and we always knew we wanted to do it, but shooting cunnilingus is a much more involved process and it takes a lot more to balance/neutralize the male gaze/female gaze issues that tend to come up when filming female pleasure. We want it to feel inclusive and exciting for everyone, and we feel like we’ve got the shots and the editing just so.

This is a soft launch. You might say there’s nothing soft about it, as a few people have made a stab at that pun, but it’s open in beta (or beta plus, perhaps) for the next little while. This means that it isn’t released to the public, just to members, social media followers and, of course, our wonderful blog friends.

The site is not unlike The Art of Blowjob, except that instead of blowjobs, it’s all about cunnilingus! For now, the site is made up of heterosexual-focused videos, but we’re working on a few amazing bisexual/lesbian/queer/lady-lovin’ updates coming real soon. Asides from that, we’re also developing a complimenting educational series all about how to give and get great cunnilingus. I think that’ll be incredibly helpful for a whole lot of people. You’ll all be well-rounded oral artists and recipients! And we’re also working on a photography area with artful shots of sensual cunnilingus in action.

You’ll see some familiar faces and get to see them in a whole new way. So far we have Jemma, Cassie, Roxy, Lena and Emilie on the site, but there will be lots more coming/cumming soon!

We’d love to know what you think of the site so far and what you’d like to see on it. We’re very open to hearing suggestions, input and ideas, so let ‘em flow like so many wet, lubricating forces. We’re mostly just so excited to finally show our view of equality and reciprocity as it pertains to the pleasure of giving pleasure. Women’s sexual satisfaction is very important to us, and it’s nice to finally embrace a niche where we can show, not just tell.

The Official Debut of The Art of Blowjob’s Educational Series

Jemma Valentine in the our new educational blowjob video series

OH MY GOD IT’S FINALLY HERE YAAAAAAAY!

Okay, now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, I can confidently say that we are having the soft launch of our brand new educational series on The Art of Blowjob. This means that every week we’ll be featuring a brand new video with a voice-over by yours truly detailing different tips, tricks, techniques and talking points for both giving and receiving truly beautiful blowjobs.

Practically, these are both the types of videos that will put you in the mood AND the types of videos that you can learn from. We’re still refining the set up and tone of the videos, as this is only our soft launch, but we’ll be bolstering our output with a few extra videos in the coming week for our official launch. Then we’ll be taking on the world and talking to everyone and anyone about how they can learn about oral sex. Why do I say oral sex so generally? Well, you’ll see soon… Very soon.

This has been a labour of love and something we’ve wanted to do for a very long time, but we had to make sure that it was the right time and we were doing it in the right way. As someone who is committed to sexual education and specifically its place in porn, this is a dream come true. Getting to be such a vocal (ha!) part in this project is amazing. We have lots of plans for it and about 150 ideas, with more coming every day in a seemingly never-ending list. This is so exciting.

I’d love to hear what you think of the project and what you’d like to learn about now that it’s actually out in the world. This is just another way to make porn beautiful, and it’s a very important one, too. Hopefully we can teach you all a thing or two. Check out the full video featuring the lovely Jemma Valentine and trust that it’s the first of many!

The UK Bans Many Sex Acts from Porn

Sophie spanking Anja in porn

Me doing something banned in the UK with Anja from TheSpitMagazine.com

I’m sure that some of you have already heard about this absolute travesty, but the UK is banning a number of sex acts from appearing in British-made porn, specifically targeting online content creators to fall in line with the currently set standards for DVDs. No, blowjobs didn’t make the list, but here’s what did:

Spanking

Caning

Aggressive whipping

Penetration by any object “associated with violence”

Physical or verbal abuse (regardless of if consensual)

Urolangia (known as “water sports”)

Female ejaculation

Stragulation

Facesitting

Fisting

These are a few of my favourite things… But seriously, the things you see on this list are either BDSM/kink-focused or female pleasure-focused. You don’t see facials or anal sex on this list, even though they’re often depicted as similarly graphic. No. You don’t see male ejaculation on this list, despite the fact that female ejaculation is a real thing that is a response to physical pleasure. You don’t see face fucking (irrumatio) but you do see face sitting, either of which can potentially block airways, but only if you’re completely disregarding the way the human body functions… And fisting? Well, that’s a thing that a lot of people (especially women) really like. It’s a hallmark of more lesbian/queer-produced porn for a reason. Lube up, go easy, start slow and there shouldn’t be any problem! Vaginas (and anuses) are VERY resilient and accommodating.

This impacts small porn producers and sets a terrible precedent for other countries looking to censor adult content online. I presented on a panel at the Feminist Porn Conference this past year with a lovely UK-based spanking porn producer by the name of Pandora Blake and she wrote a wonderfully personal and impassioned response over on her blog. Here’s a little excerpt of the crux of the issue:

This is a ludicrous, badly written law that criminalises sexual minorities and small business owners. It predominantly targets the cottage industries of women, couples, queers and fetishists – people who are making enough to cover their costs or perhaps a little more, people who are making their own porn because the mainstream genres don’t cater to our needs.

Porn isn’t just about getting off… It’s also about seeing reflections of ourselves and our sexualities. Without safe, consensual depictions of kink and of women’s less “Porn Valley normative” pleasure, we lose something. And for what? A perception of safety of the performers? For the people watching? There are surely much better ways of addressing potential concerns outside of just banning it, but that would require interaction with performers and consumers, which is tantamount to legitimizing porn.

What do you think of these bans? Do you think this paves the way for laws like this elsewhere in the world? Do you think that there’s any merit to this type of legislation? Personally, I can’t find anything that couldn’t also be achieved by much less draconian means, but here we are.

New Monthly Contest: You’re the Director

2013-12-13-lg

Have you ever wanted to direct porn? Well, of course you have. You couldn’t be more jealous of us for getting to make porn happen, right? Or something. Regardless, even though we love what we do, we’re going to relinquish our control for an update a month so that you (yes, YOU!) can have a swing at it. So, what does this entail?

This is a new contest that’ll be happening on a monthly basis. In exchange for your idea, you win a free one month membership to The Art of Blowjob! We do have a few rules to go off so that you don’t get too wild and outrageous. Here’s a little list of do’s and don’ts:

– Don’t send long scripts. A sentence or two for punctuating a thought might work, but it’s hard to talk with your mouth full and using mics when shooting porn just adds a whole other level which would take away from the intimacy of the shoot. Plus, blowjobs are more exciting and expressive when no one has to worry about remembering their lines.

– Do suggest particular blowjob styles, techniques and attitudes.

– Don’t offer up outlandish settings. We would love to do an intense cosplay on the moon, but we don’t quite have the budget for a rocket just yet. Keep things simple, please!

– Do feel free to suggest lingerie colours or materials!

– Don’t suggest particular models. Some people are available, some aren’t, sometimes people move on from doing porn… Best to keep things open!

– Do get creative with relationships and scenarios. How do people know each other? Sometimes that’s what makes things most interesting.

Send us your ideas! You can send them by Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Flickr, e-mailing TheArtofBlowjob@gmail.com or right in this very comment section! This first contest closes on Thursday, November 6th at 5pm EST and we’ll shoot it within the month. Then the whole process starts over again for as long as we keep getting fun, interesting ideas!

Fleshbot Advice with Sophie

fleshbot-300x76

Hey you guys! I’m giving advice over on Fleshbot now! Under my own name! Well, in a couple of days, but you know! It’s official, it’s confirmed, now I just have to get one more things… your questions! So, lay ‘em on me. More and more, I’m shifting towards wanting to get more involved in sexual education. Advice might not be exactly that, but it’s part and parcel of the larger commitment to enhancing sexual well-being, and it’s one of my absolute favourite things to do.

So, what am I covering? A little bit of everything, really. Blowjobs, of course, but also porn (and everything about porn from performing to DIY to what happens when your partner hates it!), and then also everything about sex, sexuality, dating and relationships… It’s pretty open-ended because I want to cater to you and your needs.

This is an excellent lead up to our forth-coming educational series. The Art of Blowjob will be known as a place of learning as well as a place of art. Oh, and blowjobs. Definitely also blowjobs. I think that this is important for creating the kind of porn landscape that isn’t only about fantasy, but also about how to bring that fantasy into a reality that makes everyone happy.

So… questions? Anyone? Or even general topics to cover? I’m all yours!

Male Birth Control… Coming Soon!

Vasalgel male birth control

We here at The Art of Blowjob love cum. We also love safer sex, getting tested, knowing your status and all of that incredibly important stuff… But we really love cum. In many cases, people opt to go without barriers after a period of getting to know/trust each other and establishing relationship parameters, whether that’s for procreation or recreation. Nothing’s foolproof, of course, but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s been heavily eroticized to go without condoms and experience raw sex, cum and all. For those of us who are totally NOT trying to have babies right now, the onus has been on women to pay for/effectively use contraceptives for quite a long time…

BEHOLD THE FUTURE! There’s a brand new kind of birth control that’ll be available for men in just a few short years! It’s called Vasalgel. There’s no hormonal component, it’s a one time thing and it can be reversed simply and effectively. It’s kind of like a vasectomy without any of the pain or invasiveness. Okay, so it is a shot of polymer right into your vas deferens, which might not sound like the most fun, but it’s over in a heartbeat and there are not supposed to be any weird side effects like you tend to see when you tamper with testosterone.

Now, the kinks haven’t all been totally worked out yet, hence the 2017 release date, but they’re quite optimistic that this could completely change the face of sex. Since hormonal birth control isn’t an option for all women, it can fail if not used 100% correctly and it can cause some pretty unpleasant problems for those who do choose to use it, this opens up potentially a much better, more foolproof method of having unprotected sex.

What do you think? Is this the wave of the future or does the thought of a shot to the vas deferens sound like a deal breaker, even for the possibility of worry-free (provided everyone is tested and using precautions in their lives) sex? I’m curious. It sounds great to me, but then again, I’m not the one with the penis.

Faux Fappening is Happening

Sexy new model Laura from The Art of Blowjob

You are likely already aware of the horrifying hacking of various private photos of celebrities… Just in case you needed us to state our position on the issue, we are very anti-hacking and disseminating women’s private nude photos/videos. Just don’t do it. We didn’t want to give it any traction or jump in on the hype, but then I read Gram Ponante‘s awesome response on Gamelink and I just had to share it because, well, he’s kinda dreamy. (Only I would have a porn industry crush on a journalist in a sea of performers, but whatever.)

In a sense, curiosity is understandable, but there are so. many. nude. celebrity. photos. and. videos. that have been made on purpose to be shared with the public! There are enough famous breasts to keep you busy until kingdom (ahem) come. Gram suggests a faux fappening care of Mr. Skin, which is a website devoted to all consensually naked celebrities, all the time! If you’re after celebrities baring it all, you’re covered. If, however, “you’re the type of person who just wants to see high status people get their comeuppance.” then Gram has a message for you: “Don’t be that guy.”

The rest of his article goes on to very succinctly and charmingly go over all the reasons why privacy is important, both to celebrities and to everyday schmoes like us. It’s excellent ammunition for discussions with anyone who thinks that theft of private property is alright, so be sure to read it all and let me know what you think about the issue. And if you’re just hard and looking for something sexy, may we suggest starting right on The Art of Blowjob? We may not be Oscar winners or famous musicians, but we give some pretty spectacular oral sex and we’re happy to have you see our sexy sides!

Women in Porn Discussion Online

Discussion about women in porn on Mindbrowse

I’m just letting you all know that there’s a great discussion going on right now care of Sssh.com including friends of the site Cindy Gallop and Dr. Chauntelle Tibbals! It’s title Porn and Women, but I think it’s much more about making porn that is outside of the mainstream and more open to everyone… It’s advocating for beautiful porn already! Go watch, listen and join the conversation over at MindBrowse!

I’m Moderating Sex Talk Tuesday

Sophie is moderating a sex talk tuesday discussion

It’s no secret to anyone at all in my life… I love to talk. WAY too much, probably. In particular, I love talking about sex and sexuality, and about my experiences working in the culture of porn. It only makes sense that I’m moderating today’s Sex Talk Tuesday. This won’t be the first time I moderate a #SexTalkTuesday discussion for Sssh.com on Twitter, but it’ll be the first time that it’s quite so intensely personal.

You see, I’m going to be discussing the reasons that people do/do not want to make porn and the reasons why people do/do not go through with those desires. For me, porn has always been on the horizon as a possibility, but I shrugged it off for many reasons. It always felt inauthentic to remove myself from the potential talent pool because of how much involvement and admiration I felt with regards to those who make porn. I know I’m not alone in this.

There are so many people in my life with sentiments like mine: “If porn wasn’t taboo, I’d do it all day every day.” “If it wouldn’t hamper my job perspectives, I’d share videos of myself with my partner.” “If people were less inclined to slut shame porn performers, I’d move out to Porn Valley and shoot with James Deen in a hot second.” I especially agree with that last one.

It’s all a system of checks and balances, and I understand the reasoning, but talking openly about how we would, at least in theory, like to make porn makes us more likely to not push so much stigma on those who choose to go through with it and actually make porn. After all, it’s just sex! I hope to have a lively discussion that brings forth more acceptance for porn and more enthusiasm for supporting those in porn! The hashtag is #SexTalkTuesday and it starts today at 4pm EST!

More so, I’d love to know if you’ve ever considered making porn, if you would make porn if there weren’t so much stigma and what (if anything) in particular holds you back from making that choice.
